    No, there is no code requirement limiting length of shower head from shower valve.

    What distance are you concerned about?

    I agree with Mark. No codes on this. However, there may be factory limitations in the manufacturers install manual if this is a tub/shower combo. If just a shower, any "reasonable" distance will be just fine.
