Most cars that have a hidden battery have some sort of post under the hood that is labeled for jump starting a car... read your owners manual if you can't find it. Or... am I misunderstanding you? Is the car in such a position that you physically can't get to the battery? Is that why you're asking about putting it in gear? Have you tried stepping on the brake pedal while trying to put the car in gear? |

My son has a 2001 Honda civic. When it is driven for awhile and you let it idle for awhile sometimes it will die and is then hard to re start. Till it sets for a shot peroid of time.
