Bryant 80 plus furnace doesn't heat up
The above mentioned unit does not get hot. The blower comes on and you hear it clicking to try and ignite but it never a does then it shuts down. If I reset it and let it "click" I can then light it with a lighter and it hears up and all the burners are lit and gets the house to the temp on the thermostat. However, when the temp drops and it needs to go through the sequence again it doesn't light again.

I have just spent the whole day trying to fix my 30+ year old Carrier/Payne gas furnace with cycling on and off initially. I will be posting to get some help from some HVAC experts here.

Do you have the owner's manual? Take a look at the diagram to see what do you have. It is most likely the thermocouple or the flame sensor is dirty. Clean it with fine steel wool or fine sand paper. Good luck.

Bryant furnace doesn't always start [ 0 Answers ]

Sometimes, when our 1997 furnace comes on, you can hear the flame "whoosh" and keep going for maybe 10 seconds, but the fan doesn't start up then. It tries again - and if all three times don't work, the furnace automatically shuts off for several hours. Lately this has been happening more than...

I have a Bryant 355AVV Furnace I want high-heat instead of low heat, what switches? [ 0 Answers ]

I have a Bryant Gas Furnace Model 355AVV. It usually runs on low-stage heating if I have the temperature set to 74 degrees F. When it gets colder it doesn't seem to go to high-stage heating very often unless we turn up the thermostat to a much higher setting. It's like it isn't aware that the...

Bryant heat pump heats but doesn't cool. [ 0 Answers ]

This past winter my Bryant heat pump was working fine, then one night the blower motor would not shut off. Had to trip the breakers to get the blower to stop. The outside fan would come on for heat, but not for cool now that it is warm and I need cooling, the unit will not blow cold air. The...

Bryant ac fan doesn't come on but does with heat? [ 1 Answers ]

My Brant AC keeps freezing up. The inside blower motor will not turn on, but works fine with heat. The motor will not start if I spin it first and rotates with no resistance. If I turn the entire unit off for 10mins I can usually get it to start up, but in time it will not cycle the fan on again...
