My ex boyfriend and I went out for a year. We then moved in with two of our friends, one being my ex's best friend. After living together with everyone my ex and I were falling apart even more. The past 4 months I've been feeling the spark between us change. So we had a clean break up and were still friends.

Although being friends with my ex's best friend we talked a lot more while I was trying to make the decision to leave. Finally my ex and I separated and I moved out.

The best friend and I ended up hooking up and he told me he liked me but couldn't do anything because I was with my ex before. Now he just doesn't want to lose his friendship with his best friend. But he still talks to me and tells me he likes me but doesn't agree to hanging out unless its on his terms.

Is it wrong to fall for your ex boyfriends absolute best friend? Knowing the ex still has deep feelings for me? And knowing the best friend is very hot and cold with his feelings?

Under these circumstances yes its wrong to expect anything but a hook up. Seems you have fallen for someone who is neither free or available to explore anything with. Understandable since he is NOT willing to give up his best friend for you, and that's a warning to NOT to follow your heart on this.

He may like you, but doesn't love you.

Thank you.. I already made the mistake. So did the best friend.. he told me he liked me he acted adorable when we hung out. But your right in him not wanting my ex to know. My ex found out and disowned his best friend but forgive me fully. How can I live with him forgiving me and not his best friend. I keep trying to talk him into forgiving his best friend if he forgive me but he just keeps saying its done.. and the best friend won't talk to me and told me to never contact him..

Seems this episode is over and you have to let it go. Love triangles are usually a disaster. Maybe distancing yourself from the ex also is a good idea.
