    Humming pipes
    The pipes in my house keep making a humming noise and only stops when I turn on a faucet or flush the toilet. What could be causing this noise and how can I fix it.

    Let's start checking. Pop the toilet lids and note the water level. If the level's higher then 1/2" under the white overflow tube then reset the levels. Do that and get back to ne with the results. Back to you, To

Hi I wonder if you can help explain why our pipes hum whenever toilets are flushed or showers drawn. It seems to have something to do with the water softener. Water is building up. We cleared it once but noise resumed within 24 hours.

:mad: :D Hi Why do my pipes hum. When I run the hot tap for a bath, flush the toilet then turn the hot tap off the pipes hum and make a loud noise. I have a combi boiler. Yes I had the plumber out and it didn`t do it when he was there.Typical.It did it when he had left though.LOL:D :rolleyes:
