    Humming oil pipes
My oil pipes run the length of the house above the basement false ceiling and directly below our bedroom above. They hum when the furnace is on and wake us up.

I enclosed them in foam insulation but we still hear them, especially at night.

    Any suggestions?

You might try and replace pump OR go to a one pipe non circulating system.

Hi, over the last couple of days there was like a roaring noise that would go off at different times in the house. I narrowed it down to the water pipes. Under the bathroom sink, if you put your hand on the cold water, you can feel the vibration, but not on the hot. While the noise is...
