    Goodman furnace
I have a goodman 90% furnace that is about 6 years old and I suspect that I need to replace the board in the furnace because the burner comes on but shortly goes out about 4 seconds later. The flame sensor was replaced and the limit switch is still good. Has there been many problems with the control board in these furnaces.

Not many problems with the circuit/control boards but the do go bad. I suggest you clean your new flame sensor with mineral/steel or brass wool or fine sand paper NOTE: emery cloth preferred. Spend a little time on it and do a good job. Just because it is new does not mean it is clean. Do not touch the bare metal bar part of the flame sensor with your fingers when done cleaning.
It is a lot cheaper to try and clean the sensor first before replacing an expensive board. I have had new flame sensors right out of the package not work properly and all it needed was a cleaning. One side note. Flame sensors do not go bad that often they just need to get a good cleaning.

In the trades we use a meter to test the flame sensor this way we know if it is bad or or just needs a cleaning. See attached.
