    How to get children back that have been adopted out
    My friend resently had to sign her parental rights away. The children are going to be set up for adoption. The children have been in a foster home for 1 year now. She is to be seting up visitation's with her children until they turn 18. Is there any way that they can get there children back? By the way they live in eugene Oregon

    As I'm reading this she (I don't know where the father is) signed away her rights because she had to. I don't know why she "had" to.

    At any rate, no, she can't get them back. She gave up her rights so that they could be adopted.

    I am guessing she could have argued with CPS - or the agency that had the children - instead of signing.

    I am suspecting that your friend is telling you her side of things and it may not be the actual facts.

    Generally people are NOT forced to sign away rights. Either they agree to relinquish their rights to clear they way for an adoption or a court terminates their rights. If the rights are terminated by a court, then that is a last resort and its unlikely to be revoked. It would also be unlikely that the parent would be allowed visitation.

    This sentence implies that the adoption is not yet final. She could notify the court that she has changed her mind and that she no longer wants to give up her rights.

    While the adoption may not be finally, the children have been taken. I suspect the children were removed for cause and that's why the children have been put in the system. So the mother's rights may have been terminated.

    Like I said, I don't think we have been given the correct facts because the OP doesn't know them.
