    Va law regarding eviction of girlfriend
    I have been living with my faincee 3 years, I sold most of my furnishing and invested 10,000 of my money to go to school out of the country. My house is up for sell because I have no money. but contributed to house up keep. Just annouced(he is 67 and I am 51) that he want to besingle. I am with drawing an investment early in hopes of finding an apartment but I have asked for a couch, TV, table HELP: We live in VA

    If you are not on the lease, you will have to be given a 30 day notice for eviction.

    First, he already IS single. He just doesn't want to be with you anymore. Second, I'm not sure what all those details have to do with this. But you didn't tell us what we need to know. Are you on the lease or a part owner of the house? If you are he can't evict you. I you aren't you are just like any tenant. He can give you 30 days to vacate and follow with an eviction proceeding if you don't.

    And is he not obligated to give you anything unless you can prove you own it
