Will dhs help get my daughter back from my ex?
Me and my boyfriend met up to see my daughter, but when I got there, he took her and she's now at his house. I have evidence of him being threatening to me and his house being unfit, we were never married. Will DHS help me get her back right away if I'm scared for her safety??

Probably not. As long as he is the legal father and there are no court orders awarding one of you primary custody, then you have equal rights. So he has just as much right as you to keep the child.
What you need to do is go to court and file for primary custody and you need to do it like tomorrow.. At the same time you file for child support from him. A hearing will be scheduled and you bring your evidence that his home is unfit, but it better be legal evidence. His threatening you doesn't mean he's a danger to the baby. |
