Getting out of Oklahoma dhs custudy
My moms deceased and my dad is in prison I want to live with my ex-step-mom, she can provide and I can get a job. I have had her take a backround check so I can go on pass with her but I need a home inspection in order to live there. How do I obtain this?

Dhs should take care of that or refer you to somebody that they consider reputable. You really should go through them so you aren't getting something they won't even consider.

I know that's one way but dhs works so damn slow I'll turn 18 before they get their together. I really just want a faster way around them, but I'm just not sure there's one out there

Yeah I doubt there is. Sometimes you need to call three to five times a week and keep asking did they take care of this yet.

I do that already living in the shelter that's what we look forward to, 1 phone call per day. Actually the only reason I'm on here is because I got a pass for thanksgiving, I'm goin' back tonight so this'll be my last message for a while. Thank you for the help though

You really need to talk with your step mom and ask her to keep on them and what all she needs to do. She really should be the one taking care of this. DHS workers look at it like ''she is not being pro active enough and if she doesn't stay on top of it why should we''.
