    Wiring a Honeywell RTH2310 Thermostat
I am having problems wiring a Honeywell RTH2310 Thermostat. I have tried a number of different configurations with little or no results. Currently I have 2 wires connected. The "R" terminal on the Furnace connected to "Rc" Terminal on thermostat (with jumper in place), and the "G" terminal on the furnace connected to the "G" terminal on thermostat. When the breaker is turned back on, the thermostat seems to have no automated control over the burner or fan. However , when you switch the fan switch on the thermostat manually the burner kicks on. I do not have a cooling system, I just want to be able to control the heat with the automated controls. I have attached pictures of the furnace, thermostat, and wiring diagram for the furnace control box. Any help would be really appreciated.

Put the white wire on the stat to w instead of g, and let me know what happens. Did you do any rewiring at the furnace? And did the furnace work correctly with the old stat? Something looks amiss at the furnace, but if you didn't do any wiring there and it worked with the old stat, switching the white wire at the stat to the w should get you going.

Sounds good. Do know that you will not have any fan control from the thermostat, as you would need a third wire for that. But as far as heat goes, the way you have it now should work the way it should. Glad your up and running. Take care.
