I don't want to see these kids arrested . Mostly they are the equivalent of the 'useful idiots' .

The problem in NYC is Bloomberg who is trying to walk the line of political correctness and governance.

Rudy would've handled it differently . He would've insisted that permits were issues before demonstrations and he would've told the occupiers that they can protest during the day... but at night ;move to a hotel ,or a shelter . He also cracked down on public nuicances be they drum bangers at night ,or squeegy wielders on the roads.

For some reason Bloomy thinks banging drums defication and urination in the park ,unsanitary conditions, and loitering in a section of the city that is privately owned ,but reserved for public use ,now not patrolled by the police ,is OK... I guess so long as they restrict their salt and transfat intake.

tal thinks they are exercising a right.. Assuming their cause is right (which it's not because it's misplaced rage);civil disobedience as a form of protest has never been a 'right' as it is not a legitimate expression of free speech . MLK ,Henry David Thoreau ,the Berrigan brothers during Vietnam ,all did jail time for their protest .

Don't know what circle you think I'm circumnavigating .
Government is the problem ,not the solution.. has been a premise in most of my commentary here .

I'd like to see them all arrested.

Its about time they learn there are consequences for their actions.

Most of their parents have failed to teach them that lesson as children.

The City of Oakland issued an eviction notice to the occupiers, which are of course ignoring it.

"The city cited an increasing rat problem, repeated requests for protesters to remove fire hazards, then public urination and acts of violence also as reasons for them to pack up and go."

Sounds like a swell place to be.

I'm sure they will be welcomed with open arms across the bay in San Francisco, or at the Berkley campus, education hasn't been a priority there for a long time anyway.
