    Do I have anger problems?
I get mad really fast but I hold it in around my friends at school and I'm really happy and cheerful on the outside but in the inside I'm feel angry and sad ! But at home I get pissed for like dumb reasons and annoyed I like punch walls and throw stuff but like when my mom like when she yells it hurts my head and then I get mad 3 years ago after my grandma pasted I had depression and held it in then had a break down and I cried for a long time and let everything out !I yell at my sisters because I'm so mad I just don't know of what I give my mom attitude for reasons I don't know why for ! I get headaches for no reason I don't sleep a lot I wake up at night and I feel tired even when I sleep a lot and I don't eat a lot no more ! I've been bottling up emotions for like 2 years now and I only told one of my friend's about it? I don't know what's wrong with me

You may be bipolar. That is a very hard disease to properly diagnose but you need to be evaluated by a doctor for this. Usually men develop full blown bipolar symptoms by the time they reach 40 years old. You may just be at the beginning stages of this if you get mad over teeny tiny things and then get depression bouts. All part of the problem. Talk to your doctor about getting properly diagnosed. There is nothing wrong with you. It's just something you have no control over.

You could try taking an Anger Management program and see if that helps you. And if it does not help you, you possibly may have the beginnings of bipolar. I took an Anger Management couse a few years ago out of curiosity and found that basically a person gets angry or mad at the other person due to the acute disappointment they harbor against the other person and they get "angry" at how they are treated when in fact they don't realize that the other person is not the cause of their anger but it is within themselves and how they perceive the world treating them. Something like that only a bit more complicated to put downhere.

Hi cookiemonster... anger can be caused by many things. You may have had problems earlier in your life that you didn't deal with well or you just put to the back of your mind. You said when your grandma died you suffered from depression, you would only have been 12 years old then! To hold that grief inside of you for so long before it came out, would have been extremely difficult for anyone, yet alone someone of your young age.

I feel you get angry because you don't express your feelings when they occur, therefore the pressure builds which is what probably gives you the headaches you are suffering from.I'm wondering why you feel you have to hold things in!!

The fact that your not getting a good nights sleep and your sleep pattern being all over the place, adds to what is already a very stressful situation for you to cope with on your own.

Your appetite is also a huge factor in this, your energy levels go down,no concentration and lack of food can also interrupt your sleep.

Put all this together and I'm not surprised that you can't cope. You are at a difficult age for all teenagers:hormones, all over the place, school etc... you need some help,I would say you have run yourself down( depressed).Go and see your Doctor, explain everything to him, like you have on this site, write it down if you have to,it will stop you forgetting something.

Your doctor I'm sure may put you on a course of tablets and probably refer you to a counciller, they will help you talk about your problems, you can then deal with them, which will allow you to move forward.

These are only my oppinions: go and see your own doctor for an accurate diagnoses.

PLease come and talk to us here. There are many people on this site that are more than happy to help you at any time.

    Takecare.
