I filed papers for an injunction for domestic violence. They extended it for a year.
Now, in gun laws, they say that someone isn't supposed to own a gun if they were charged with domestic violence. There was a court case filed,and it's on the books. There was a police report also filed,and it stated that... He threatened to "Kill" her. This sounds like they didn't believe me. Well, short of the injunction,nothing was really done about it,except that the injunction said for him not to have "Violent" contact with me. They made him leave the house for One night only. That was the night the police came,and they were called by the neighbors. A friend of mine also filed a report. To this day, this person was never arrested,but wound up getting custody of my kids. Why? Because they said I was "Unstable". Why? Because we had to keep moving, to keep away from him and his brothers coming after us. He threatened me several times since the injunction verbally,but at the tim I didn't know that this was a "Violation". If he had gotten locked up, and stayed in jail... My Son would still be alive,and he would have Never gotten a chance to abuse my children! Thanks to HRS, and the State for screwing up our lives!

What has this got to do with your other posts regarding your mom and dad and sister trying to get rid of you and her selling off your dad's property. This is a new twist from the other posts you made regarding your inheritance being fooled around with.

Tickle, I was just thinking the same thing. All these posts combined don't make sense and seem like some sort of soap opera going on.

I did not combine this one, although I really don't see a question either.

1. no it is not charged, it is convicted, so if he was not arrested, and if esp if he was not convicted, merely being charged does not stop him from owning a weapon ( gun)

Also to be honest police don't believe 1/2 or maybe 3/4 of the claims of domestic violence or if they do believe it, really care less since in almost 9 out of 10 times ( if not more) the women will be back with the man the next day or sooner. The women who had him arrested the day before will take the rent money and bail him out.

So yes, even myself, as a police officer, we got tired of domestic calls, 1. if we start cuffing the man, after he had beat the women, she jumps on us for hurting him
2. she will almost never testify in court.

It is only after about the 30'th call, that they may and just may actually leave the man, and still seldom show up to testify in court.

So if the officer did not seem to care, you were right most likely he did not
