Hot lead to the switch, switched black hot out to the first fan box, pigtail a lead to the black in the fan and then another black lead to Fan#2. All whites are connected as are the grounds. With only 1 switch and a fan & light, the blue on the fan also goes with the black. An identical question was asked a couple of days ago about 2 lights. Search Electrical postings and there is a diagram of the wiring, just put"fan" instaed of light and you are all set. Maybe Hank will read this and attach duplicate diagram.

Two possible ways of wiring ceiling fan. All depends on whether the power goes to the switch and then to the ceiling or goes to the ceiling with a switch leg over to the switch.
If power goes to the switch you can turn the switch on and then use the pull chains to select the fan or light or both.
If power goes to the ceiling the fan can be turn on and off with the pull chain and the light can be turned on and off with the switch.
Tell us what wires you have in the ceiling boxes so we can figure out how to wire.
Tell us like this. I have 3 cables in one box. Each cable has a black and white wire. I have one cable in the other box with a black and white wire.

A wire is a single wire. A cable is two or more wires in an outer covering.

Note: While you said Ceiling fan I am assuming ceiling fans with light kits.

Guz, what do you have already in place. Is there cable running to both ceiling boxes from your switch box or is this all going to be new installation
