I have a gas wall heater and the only way to turn on and off is to open bottom of heater and turn the knob on the Dayton 3E290 valve. I want to be able to run a wall thermostat but there are no places to add the wires. What can I convert the valve to so it accepts the remote thermostate Thank you

:confused: What do you think is wrong with a relief valve that does not leak when the electric is turned off, but leaks when the electric is turned back on and mild(100 degrees or so) hot water comes from the faucets.:confused:
