Building Free Standing Stairs Off Patio Door
    Hello,

I have a 16" drop off from where I installed a patio door to my backyard. I plan on making wood stairs. Since my house is brick façade, I can't use a ledger to attach the stringers to. Does anyone have a workaround that will give me solid stairs? Thanks.

Put in concrete slab. Build box for bottom step and bolt to concrete. Build second box on top of first half the size. Steps are done.

I'm building an 8 x 8 five sided shed directly on my concrete patio. I want to use the patio as the floor of the shed rather than building a floor. Does anyone see an issue with me doing this? I understand I would need to place a gasket between the concrete and the wall frame... does anyone...

I am planning on building a ground level deck over an existing concrete patio, and am not sure where to begin. I am wondering what the best foundation would be for the deck.
