Aire-Flo gas furnace periodically shuts down.
I have an Aire-Flo gas furnace - model no. AF80MPA075B3A I rent - however I believe it was installed around 2003. For the last month - the furnace will start, the gas tries to ignite but after 2 seconds it will shut off. It tries to ignit 3 times - then if unseccessful the furnace shuts off. It periodically goes through this process and sometimes does come on for a period before shutting down again. Filter is new. We have been through the process of disconecting power and re-setting the furnace - which sometimes works... but is a pain to continuously do. There is a green light that blinks once - pauses then blink 6 times consecutively, however I can't find a "guide" anywhere on the furnace to tell me what this means. The landlady has yet to fix the problem. My question is - what does the blinking light combination mean and is there anything I can do to fix this on my own?

Also - I've dusted the furnace area where the main parts are as I was told that sometimes the igniter switch can get "obstructed". I don't know if this is true or not... but it's another piece of info to add to above. Also - there are no issues with the thermostat - it works fine. Thanks in advance for your help/advice!
