My husband has tried to get the back off the kenmore elite dryer... so far the wires are still attached to top of dryer as he could not get in there to see how to disconnect them... he took all screws he found out on the back.. yet the top sits on the back... he is ready to chunk the dryer out the back door.. one frustrated wife... here... help!! : )

LOL Sounds like me trying to work on my own stuff. I can go into anyone's home and perform miracles, and do something for myself everything goes wrong, and chucking it out the window is my first instinct.

Here is the trick. Get a putty knife, and on the top part of the bottom panel, about 5 inches in on the left side is a clip. Push the putty knife inside the clip, and it will release the front on that side. Do the same on the other side.

Thanks for your help sir, I did get the panel off... looked in side and that is scary to me... not too electrical here... trying to figure how to check the fuse or take out the heating element... I have a call in for a servicemen.. will try myself though
