Issb, how did you determine that your dryer lost power? Did you use a multi-meter? Have you checked the breaker or fuses (if that's what you have)? Is this an electric or gas dryer?

It is electric, just the fuse box and breaker OK, the door seems to be clicking tight. Just prior to the last load it was sqeaking, but some WD40 in back and noise stopped. Could that have something to do with it? Or time for a new one? 7 yrs old THANKS so much

Do you, or someone you know have a multi-meter and know how to use it? Post the name and model number. Good luck

You could have shorted something out with the wd, where and how did you spray? You said " just the fuse box and breaker ok" do you have both? Did you manually turn the breaker off and reset it? Sometimes they look OK and still be knocked.

Lost Power to Circuits [ 2 Answers ]

Hi, I hope someone here can help me. Right now I'm in a 40-foot trailer and I was using the vacuum cleaner when I apparently overloaded the circuit. It would appear the breaker didn't trip. I got a brown-out and I ran outside and unplugged where the power comes into the trailer. The set-up...
