    When is income considered earned?
If I was to start a new job before the end of this year BUT not get paid until on or after Jan 1st of 2011, will I be getting a W-2 for 2010 taxes or be considered as "earning" income from this job for 2010? Or is the income not considered earned until I actually receive a paycheck from the job?

W-2's are based on date the wages are paid. If paid in 2011, they will be on your 2011 W-2 regardless of when the work was done.
