Trane xr80 9 blinks
Trane XR80 blows cold air.
Inducer motor comes on, glow bar glows for few seconds than goes out and inducer motor shuts off. Immidiatly after the main blower comes on and blows cold air. Will blow until main switch is turned off. Error code is 9 blinks. Replaced the glow bar and same problem. Strange part is sometimes the furnace works fine. Usually acts up at bed time. Please help |

My xr80 furnace, when the fan is in the auto position, will not stay lit. it flames up for ten to fifty seconds but will not stay lit. when I turn the fan to the on position, it flames up and stays lit. I cleaned the furnace and filter. What could it be? What else can I do?

Trane xr80 is blowing cold air. When first turned on, it flashed a red light once and then the light goes off.

My Trane XR80 furnace is only blowing cold air. The diagnostic light is bllinking 6 times which, I think, means the 115 volt polarity is reversed. Is this something I can fix or do I need a repairman?
