    What makes a unfit father
I am a single mother with one child of the age of 1, and another due in January. I currently have moved back to Texas with my son after moving to Kentucky for 8 months to be with my sons father. Well needless to say it didn't work out. I'm not working right now manly because no one will hire me because I'm 8 months pregnant, but I am currently a full time student. Ive supported my son on my own for those 8 months and before I moved to Kentucky my parents supported him and now because I am unemployed they support him. Ive never received any child support for my son from him. He is employed currently which is about my only worry of not being granted sole custody. He has been in and out of jail sense he was 16. He has had serious charges such as burglary and drug charges. He's an alcoholic and uses drugs, and he's a womanizer and has brought my son around some of them when I was at work. He's stolen from me and his family and has even tried to have his family members fight while during my pregnancy with his daughter. He's pushed me down a couple of times too during my pregnancy. I don't really have proof of him pushing the ones that have witnessed anything were his family and I don't think they would testify agenst him. I feel that he isn't a good influence on my son and I don't want him to be able to go to Kentucky for visition. What I would like is for the father to come here and visit him. My only worry is the fact that he's working and that most the things that he's done was around his family and I don't believe that they would testify. Please help.

If you don't have proof, to the court it never happened,

Is there police reports for all the alleged fighting, And even after the report, has it been proved by DA or any convictions ?

You may get some of most of his rights taken away for excessive prison time but most likely if you can prove he is a threat, you can get visits down to supervised onl

I am having to pay child support and I have a lot of mental issues and I also live in KY. I can't find a job anywhere and I smoke marijuana and drink daily... the child support is killing me mentally. What would I have to do to be found as an unfit father?
