Taking birth control, more painful, heavier, longer periods?
I've been taking Ortho Tricyclen Lo for about 2 years now and recently my periods are heavier, more painful, and are lasting 2 weeks instead of the normal 5-7 days. What causes this? And why is it just suddenly happening?

Talk to your Gynocologist... they may have to adjust the prescription... thats why they generally only give prescriptions for a year at a time... they do need adjusted sometimes. Just make sure they are aware of these new symptoms.

Some women take them to control irregular periods. Too strong or too weak and you have problems. There is no one size fits all, birth control pill. Definitely speak with your Gynocologist... if you aren't due for your annual visit.. you may still want to call them about this.
