    Let f(x)=(x^2-1)(e^x-1). Find the value of x which give f(x)=0.

    If either the term (x^2-1) = 0, or (e^x - 1) = 0, then f(x) = 0. This means that either of the following conditions yield f(x) = 0:

    x^2 = 1, or
    e^x = 1.

    Can you take it from here?
