I have 2 Goodman AEPF varialble speed airhand-2 techs, 2 diff dipswitch settings-HELP
I recently had 2 Goodman systems installed, variable speed airhandlers AEPF 3017 with 2-ton 2 stage 16 seer condensing units. The same person did not install both units and both set the dipswitches differently. I've also read the installation instructions and they are not clear and state something different than what is stated on the airhandler motor label. What is the correct settings for the dipswithes?

The correct dip switch setting is determined by a service tech who uses a meter that measures air flow differential/pressure. It is not unusual for two different units to have two different settings to control air flow. NOTE: if you mess with the variable speed motor units you are asking for some VERY expensive repair work and the warranty does not cover tampering.

In other words these type of units are NOT USER FRIENDLY. Sorry but that is the way they built them.

It is a shame they did not do there job correctly to start with. See this primer for adjustments. There is more to this than meets the eye.
