    When can you use a main lug only electrical panel
    I am install a 400 amp 480 volt panel outside a building. It will be fed from a breaker inside. Can this panel be a MLO or does it have to have a main breaker or disconnect.

    Does not need to have a main, may be helpful for the local operation, but, as long as the main can be locked off, no problem.

    It will need to be at least rain tight.
