Can I use one Volume Control with a Hydrostatic Mixer and a Three way Diverter in this Master Bath?
    Hi,
I am laying out the master bath shower (see attached image). I have a thermostatic mixer (k-679) and plan to purchase 1 volume control (k-671-k) and one 3-way diverter (k-687-k).
There will be one handheld showerhead, one fixed showerhead and one tub spout. See rough sketch below.
Will one volume control work for all of this? The Kohler sample layouts always show multiple volume controls with the k-669 thermostatic mixer and I am not sure if they are required or just trying to sell more volume controls.

(Slab construction - the hot and cold water are actually coming down from the attic!)

    Thanks,
    Mary

Enclosed is typical layout for 3-outlet set up... Best system for multi shower set ups is Grohe, Hans Grohe and Kohler. See enclosed drawing...

You will need an experienced plumber to rough it in for you.

Let me know how you did... Good luck... Milo

Bath Mixer tap [ 2 Answers ]

How do I repair a bath mixer tap when the water is running half into the bath & only half is going up to the shower head? The control for the water to go up the shower head is by pressing down a ring on the bath tap just at the bottom of the hose leading to the shower head.

Diverter valve in mixer tap not working [ 4 Answers ]

On this quite old (25 + yrs) mixer tap on the bath there is pull-up mechanism to divert the water to the shower and it is no longer working. Can it be replaced and if so how, or do I have to get a new mixer tap, as the young chap in the plumber's shop told me?

Adding master bath to 1 bath home [ 2 Answers ]

I am looking to add a master suite and bathroom to a 2 bed 1 bath slab home. The existing bath is behind a wall adjacent to the space where I will add the bath. My main concern is how I tie into the drain lines. I assume I will have to chip the slab or is there a way to elevate the toilets and tie...
