    How to exercise at home.
What are some good ways to work out at home? I don't have a bike--but that's next on the list. I do have two 10lb weights though.

You could start by watching pilates videos and trying out the moves as you watch them.
Here are some good ones. I recommend starting with a few reps then building onto it.

From what I've heard pilates and yoga is mostly for toning and not real cardio for weight loss. I'm working on a massive weight loss and need something that will give me the maximum results. I will look into the videos.

Pilates can actually help with weight loss a lot. My sister lost about 40 pounds by doing pilates! There are a lot of more vigorous pilates excercises too, but it's good to start with smaller ones and building up.

There is a bunch of stuff you can do.

First find out what your target heart rate is [in the chart below]. When your excercising you need to be in that area so you burn fat. If your able to talk as your walking or jogging then your not doing it!

Get a heart rate monitor, sometimes sport watches come with this or if you know how to find your pulse and figure out your own heart rate that's fine too.

Side note: the purpose of cardio is to elevate your heart rate for at least 20 min.

    You can:
    Run/jog
    Start cycling
Do jumping jacks [no kidding but they kill you a little, and the burn feels great]
    Jump rope
    Do burpees

Remember to stretch! So you don't pull anything or injure yourself.

I would also suggest you go here:

She has many [cardio] workouts, with or without weights, and they are fantastic! I do them myself.

    Good luck CM :)

Keep in mind what your eating/drinking also contributes to how much you lose.

I plan to drink more water than I am, but the water in the new house tastes like bleach, so I'm going to be getting a Brita soon.
