Ok in 4 months I lost 20 pounds first thing first a strict training regime I would dedicate at least 2 hours to your training. I would stretch of course then go cardio at least 1 hour of cardio will help you lose a few pound in the beginning go outside and run your block or if too embrassing got to your back yard and run the fence line back and forth and so on. If you are over 30 eating right will help if not just stay away from sodas burgers and basic junk food. I would stop eating big meals after 8 but if you get hungry eat a yogurt or some mixed nuts a light snack goes a long way as for muscles five pound weight are great for toning up. Try this program if not enough info just tell me

Focus on health more than a weight loss number, remembering that you are not just losing fat, but you are also building muscle, and new muscle will add weight...

Its pretty simple. Limit what you take in and use more energy.

Limit what you take in does NOT mean strict diet of cucumbers and melons!! By limit, I mean eat healthier... this usually means cut back on the junk... eat smaller portions with meals, and eat more small meals instead of a few huge ones.

My wife, for ex, has a pretty common routine. She might have some toast and juice in the morning. A few pieces of cheese and meat or maybe some nuts later morning. A smaller lunch. Some fruit for an afternoon snack. And a dinner focused on smaller portions.

You may not be able to structure your diet like that. If you are in school it can be hard. If others are cooking for you, it can be hard. But the point is to treat food as fuel for your body, and to fuel it a little at a time as much as you can.

The other side is cardio. All you need is a pair of shoes and a willingness to sweat and take some time. If you just can't run for a long time, walk. Or walk mostly but do periods of running. Nothing will crank down on the weight like exercise... but you have to do it, do it often, and be willing to find the time to devote a couple of hours to it, with stretching as part of the routine.

You can really accomplish a lot in the three months before December. But again, focus on your health more than your weight. As you get more comfortable walking or running, you'll need to amp it up a little. Changing the routine a little here and there keeps the body guessing and changing. Sometimes do stairs or bleachers. Sometimes just walk. Sometimes sprints on a bball courts. etc...

And take it slow. There's no need to do everything all at once. And stick with it. It takes most people several weeks to develop a habit. So try working exercise and minor diet changes into your life now. Stick with it. Even if you haven't lost a lot in a month, don't be discouraged... in 6 weeks or more you will be in a routine and on a track to a healthier life.
