Not to hyjack the thread but Syn it goes both ways and it seems more and more the so called " good mothers " are really looking after only what they want and not the true interest of the child.

I guess I can mention that there was physical abuse, which is the reason I left him in the first place. Both to me and my daughter. He drank excessively. I have proof of the physical abuse. My daughter has seen all of this. She dislikes him very much and honestly does not even want to see him the times that she does. He is only doing this to me because I am moving on and has admitted so. He has asked me three times in the last week to allow him to sign over his rights. He is not doing this for the benefit of his daughter, doing this to keep me within arms reach. I have also spoken to two other Louisiana attorneys who have reviewed my divorce/child custody papers and all three attorneys now say my case is excellent and there is really no reason to keep me here. With that being said, I offered to bring my daughter home once a month for a week at a time to see him and he still refused to allow me to leave.
