I'm looking for an anime I watched on TV years ago. I can only remember a few details and have been searching like mad, to no avail! This could be a long shot.
The main characters used some kind of suit that provided their weapons (Not a big suit like gundam). One of the antagonists' suits had cables like whips as a weapon.
At the end of the movie there was a little blue boy/alien/android who activated some kind of computer or machine and ended up inside it.
I know this is vague but any help will be greatly appreciated and hopefully put me out of my misery!

Afraid that's not it :(. The main character was a guy, I'm sure the suit/outfit was red and that at one point his was lost/damaged and he took a new one out of a case he found. I think the setting was futuristic and the fight with the enemy that used the cable/whip thing was on some kind of bleak wasteland. As for the little blue guy at the end, he looked like a child and had some kind of psychic powers that increased massively when he activated the machine thing at the end. I'm sure his head got bigger and it was as if they were in some kind of white bubble.
It was a more mature anime movie with violence and blood.
I'm still searching like mad and getting nowhere, pulling my hair out, lol.

Doesnt quite sound like Guyver - Bio booster....can you put a time frame on how long ago you saw it, so the search can be narrowed down to a certian year or before?

Deffo not guyver, I'm a fan. I watched it on the Sci Fi channel in the UK in around 2003 or possibly earlier. It was a long time ago so maybe my mind is playing tricks on me and some of the details are blurred! As soon as I see it I'll know it, I've just got to keep looking. Thanks for helping me. :D

After more searching I thought I had found it but I was wrong! It is similar to End of Evangelion in style. This is driving me mad!
