    Hamptonbay fan & light company
I purchased a Hamptonbay, 5 blades, 4 bulbs ceiling fan with remote control from home-depo. I have been using regular electric bulbs for the light -bright/dimm.
Due to high electricity cost I switched over from incandescent to energy smart 'CFL ' bulbs. However CFL bulbs are not intended for use dimmers. I ended up with very short life on my CFL bulbs.
Seeking recommendation from HamptonBay to switch from incandescent to energy smart 'CFL '

How about LED? Some call CFL's Green(good for the environment), I call them "Brown"(bad for the environment)Mercury, used in CFL's will slowly cover the Earth, can't be good.
    They do make dimmable CFL's.

You can't use CFL's with a remote fan.

You can try the dimmable CFL's but I suspect they will have issues as well.

    Solution: get a non-remote fan, use CFL's.
