Dangerous Burn Through! HamptonBay Track Light.
I have three tracks, and each track has three lights. Two little holes burned through the wall of the base of the lamp head! The bulb stopped working but it didn't blow a fuse, which is very scary.

Any idea what caused that? If I don't find out I am ready to remove all of them convinced that it may be dangerous.

Thanks for any help I can receive. Pauline

Could be a number of things, wrong bulbs, loose connections causing heat, etc. These are just guesses. I may get some disagreement on this but the real problem, in my opinion, is the Hampton Bay quality, or more specifically lack of. My experience with them has been less than ideal. The majority of the posts concerning fan and light fixture problems appear Hampton Bay related.
