    I recently received a summons to appear in court for child abandonment
    I recenly received a court oder for child abandonment from Newton County, Georgia. We have court ordered visits in, Dekalb County, where I see my child almost every week. I am a few months behind on childsupport due to being laid off. I love my child and would never abandon her. What should I expect in court? Does she really have grounds to stand on?

    You can expect to hear about the child support. Have you tried going back to court to get it reduced since your unemployed?
