Washer drain hose extension covered by manufacturer?
My washer just arrived today and I realized that the drain hose is too short because the drainage is on the right side of the washer/dryer closet and the hose comes out from the left side at the back of the washer. I called Sears and talked to two reps, both of them assured me that they can send someone to extend the hose for me and it will be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. When the tech came he told me that the extension is not covered and I will have to pay for that. Does anyone know if the tech is right, or are the customer reps right about the coverage? Thanks.

I would vote that it's not covered by the warranty. I don't see how.

If Sears said that they would eat the cost, then make some noise until they do.

    It's a $10 part + labor.
