    Will a digital thermostat on emergency heat run up the power bill?

    If your thermostat is on emergency heat and you have an electric furnace you cost will be higher that if you are only using the heat pump part of the system.

    Set it to regular heat and it should switch itself to emergency heat if it is needed.
