Digital thermostat goes blank on full power
Hi I've got a 2250 watt baseboard heater that was hooked up to an old thermostat. I've tried 3 digital and programmable thermostats (2 different models) but the same thing happens each time. When the heater is only at half power or off everything is fine (like when the thermostat is within a half a degree) but when it needs to use full power the thermostat goes blank and it won't work again until I get the room temperature above the temperature the thermostat was set on. What could cause this? All the thermostats were rated for 3000 watts by the way.
