Toilet drain undersize for wax ring sleeve
    Help,

I have a drainpipe 2.5" that is too small for my waxring application. The 2.5" drainpipe was installed by a licensced plumber in the basement floor and the Kohler waxring sleeve is 2.75 My home is 5 years old and they preplumbed for a future bathroom.

Any recommendations to putting in a Kohler Toilet with this undersize 2.5" installed drainpipe? I have the toilet but cannot install it.

Our codes call for toilets to drain into 4" in the slab and 3" in a upper floor.
I never heard of using 2.5" for drainage in a home before, especially for a toilet. Are you sure you measured correctly? Is there a closet flange installed? Let me know, Tom
