    Paying off judgement
I recently took this action at 50% settlement, what is the process with the 3 CRA? I am told they must been sent copies of the satisfaction of judgement, how long after that is the status changed to paid? I can't wait to see this on my reports I check almost daily, ever since I paid off small collection debts. Thanks!

    Hello time:

I don't know who told you that, but it ain't right... Once you pay the judgment, the judgment creditor must file a satisfaction of judgment with the court. Then you need to challenge the items on your credit report with all three bureaus. When the bureaus investigate your claim, they'll find the judgment paid, and they'll note your credit report.
