    Submersible well pump troubleshooting
    Hello:

    [email protected]

We lost electrical power for about 24 hours on my submersable well pump. I can not get any water to rise out of the well. The pump sounds to be fast cycling so I shut it down. On opening the line from the well before the holding tank there is no water present. Any Ideas?

"On opening the line from the well before the holding tank there is no water present."

If you mean that there is no water coming from the well pipe when the pump is on, then you have trouble. Make sure the pump is running when you do that. If that is indeed the case, then you are probably not looking at an easy fix. Either the pump is defective or your level of water in the well has dropped below the pump.
