    Harbor breeze runs in reverse
We purchased a harbor breeze ceiling fan but the remote was missing. So we bought the harbor breeze remote separately. The fan will only run in reverse. Can the wiring be modified?

Check the area above where the fan turns.
    Look for a slide switch.
If it exists. Change its position.

Changes are the old remote had a reverse button.

Try spinning the blades in the desired direction and cycling the fan off and on until it tricks itself into going that direction. Sometimes it works.
