Harbor Breeze remote (no pullchain): light control fine, fan runs only on HIGH.
I have read the other posts on this subject, but my problem is a bit different:

The light on/off and dimmer is working fine from the remote, but the fan speed is stuck on High, and the fan can't be turned off (except from the wall switch).

So, the remote is working, somewhat. Any advice?

    Cheers,

    John

What happens when you push the fan buttons on the remote? And does it reverse?

    CFR,

First of all, thanks for getting back to me. Now, when I push the fan button on the remote, the LCD shows the speed changes (including off), but the fan keeps going on HIGH. The fan reverses, but stays on the high speed setting.

The light control on the remote is working perfectly, including on/off and dimming settings.

    Thanks again,

    John

I would assume the receiver is the problem. First try changing the frequency of the receiver and remote. If that doesn't work, replace the receiver (order a replacement from Harbor Breeze).
