    Received a Consumer Credit Transaction Summons
    I recently received a Summons from an attorney at JP Morgan for a credit card that I owe money on and haven't been able to make the minimum payments for couple of months due to lack of work. I recently had to sell my truck because I could not afford the payments.

    Any advice as to how should I proceed with this summons would be greatly appreciated.
    One advice I got, was to contact Chase and come to a settlement amount for the credit card and the summons will just be withdrawn.

    Please help!

    Have you spoken to chase at all? They have a debt reduction program as well as a hardship program, either of which may apply to you.

    Call Chase and see what you can work out.
