    1990 Honda Civic not starting
My 1990 Honda Civic will turn over but not start. I do not have any spark to the plugs. The rotor and distributer cap have been replaced and still no spark. How can I test the ICM and coil for proper operation.

Call Auto Zone and see if the can test the coil.
The ignition goes to the coil, the coil goes to the distributor and the distributor goes to the plugs.
    Good luck :)

Bench testing ICMs and coils is not very reliable. I recommend replacing these components every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. This link should help:

1990 Honda Accord, cold starting problems [ 1 Answers ]

Full tune just performed. Now vehicle will crank but not start when engine is cold. After maybe five attempts, vehicle will start but is very "sluggish" (idle revs up and down sporadically). Check engine stays on and within 30 seconds the "S" light blinks. This happens about 95% of all cold...

1990 Honda Civic DX [ 3 Answers ]

Here is my problem: My engine starts and idles fine. Under acceleration it accelerates up to about 2500 rpm, then the ignition cuts off. When you shift gears you can run it back up to about 2500 rpm again, then it cuts out again. This occurs through all the gears. The check engine light stays on...
