    Replace old type shower knob/fixture
    How do I replace an old type pullout to run water, turn right and left for temp. Push in to stop water flow... change to the turn right and left type

    If you are asking how to change the faucet itself, the answer is that it is not easy. If you faucet is in a wall that backs up to a closet or clothes hamper or something like that you can cut a hole in the wall and then change the faucet in a normal way of unscrewing it or melting the solder and taking it apart.

    If it is soldered in place and you can use a torch in a small area you can take the escutcheon off the faucet and get to the fittings from the front side. This is tedious and can be a fire hazzard because of flameables in the wall.

    Same question, different post: You have to tell us first what brand / type / kind of faucet it is. Some manufacturers, like Delta and PP make conversion kit. But w/o the brand - we don't know how to answer your question.

    What is it you're asking to replace? The handle/knob or the valve? If all you wish to change is the knob we'll need the brand name of your valve. Regards, Tom
