    Instaling thermastat to trane a/c
    I am trying to connect a trane model # bwc036c100ca to a ritetemp thermastat. My ld thermastat was removed before I bought the house and now I don't know where to connect each wire on the new thermastat. Can anyone help. I have five wires (green, yellow, red, blue, white) please help

    Model number of the ritetemp?
    While you are getting the model number, go to the other end ,the furnace/airhandler
    Find the tstat wires and write down what each color is hooked to,you will need to know this at the tstat end

    Red on r terminal white on w terminal yellow on y terminal green on g terminal and check if that is on your furnace is weird the samw way it should be the same blue wire is usless

    Good advice above. You may also use the blue wire as a common if thermostat requires batteries for opetation. In this case hook blue to c terminal on stat and furnace. Please let us know how things work out.
