Toilet flange

 Hi, I'm putting a new floor in the bathroom. The tolet flange is higher by 1/4 in on one side and 1/2 in on the other above the floor I'm going to put ceramic tile down. Do I need to level it out or bring the floor up around the flange? Thanks Tim

 I am installing tile in bathroom so the toilet flange is now about approx. 1/2" below the tile. Do I have to remove the toilet flange or are there extensions?

 I just read the thread about the rotten sub floor and I have a similar issue. I have a pier and beam house. The waste pipe comes up through a hole in the floor and (before removing the toilet) the toilet made contact with the flange and was sealed with a wax seal. The only unique issue here is... 
Removing old pop-up flange

I'm replacing the pop-up assemblies on our lavatory sinks, since I'm also putting in new faucets. The flange for the sink drain is rusted very thoroughly to the pop-up pipe. :confused: Is there a secret to getting the old flange loose or is it time to take a hacksaw and just cut the pipe...
