Repair of globe mounting hardware on ceiling fan light kit (Hampton Bay)
I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan with a light kit in which the globes are secured to the fixture with two spring loaded metal wings fixed behind the ceramic socket. The globe is installed by squeezing the two wings toward one another around the ceramic socket, and then inserting the compressed wings through the hole at the back of the globe and pushing the globe into the fan kit allowing the wings to recoil tightly against the inside of the globe and holding it in place on the fixture.

In removing the globes for cleaning, one of the metal wings broke off and as a result, the globe is not held securely in place. Are the metal wings part of the ceramic socket, or can they be replaced? Either way, can I purchase the replacement part in order to repair this one
Light on the fan? Thank you for any information anyone may have.

I'm having an electrician install this fan in my living room with a sloped ceiling (slopes from 1st floor to second - 45 degrees?).
